About Coach
I grew up playing softball, street hockey, and figure skating. I did play other sports in my backyard with my brothers and dad, football mostly. I think the push from the coaches here at the gym and wanting to help people feel their best is what made me the coach I am today. Some highlights from high school is that my last year there, our softball team won the district championship for the first time in history. At the age of 10 I was the youngest player in the 14 and under tournment softball team.
I have always been active in my life. I did softball, street hockey, figure skating. My whole childhood I was always a chunky. People used to say all the time that I needed to lose weight (I think it was mostly social expectations). I always thought that I needed to lose more and more weight no matter what. It wasn't until later when I joined Fitness Concepts/CrossFit 696 that I really started to focus on strength and my overall well being. In 2020, I took the dive and got my personal training certification. I then started to concentrate on my nutrition to lose some body fat. I am so happy that I did all of this because I now can help people get strength, lose body fat, come back from an injury or a pregnancy. I just came back from a very traumatic pregnancy that threw me for a loop. But learning how to come back from that has made me a better coach. Let's get going on our well being.
My purpose for coaching is to help people live a better life. To get stronger, to move better, to lose body fat, to be able to run again or do everyday things. I love to serve the people that want to improve their everyday life.
